Tours & Activities
We have organized four specific excursions during the day on Saturday. Please note that these will all be limited in numbers, so we strongly recommend that you reserve early.
There is also a separate list of alternative activities that you may wish to arrange on your own.
1/ Brewery excursion. Visit three local craft breweries, with samples at each, and a light lunch included. (Click here for description and registration) - $90 per person.
2/ Premium wine tasting event. We will be tasting a selection of wines from some of the best winemakers in the Niagara Region, paired with food inspired by Chef Ryan Crawford. This will take place at Bar Bea, a wine shop and restaurant in Niagara-on-the-Lake. (Click here for description and registration) - $150 per person.
3/ Niagara Falls excursion. This includes transportation to Niagara Falls, a boat tour, and lunch at Niagara Distillery located steps from the Falls, with time to visit the iconic Clifton Hill. (Click here for description and registration) - $75 per person.
4/ Historical Walking tour. We have arranged a private tour through the Niagara-on-the-lake Museum. This will focus on the War of 1812, and the history of the area. It will start at 11am at Fort George, and end in the centre of Old Town, where you can enjoy lunch and a leisurely stroll along the main street before returning to the hotel (Click here for description and registration) - $35 per person. Lunch not included.
You may also consider several other excursions and activities which can be arranged on your own.
Shaw Festival Theatre. A one-act lunchtime play called “Chitra” is playing at the Royal George theatre in Niagara-on-the-Lake. Tickets can be purchased through shawfest.com. After the show, enjoy lunch and a leisurely stroll along the main street of the Old Town.
Bicycle winery tour. Enjoy a bicycle tour to several local wineries, with samples and a picnic lunch. Contact Grape Escape Wine Tours at touringniagarawineries.com.
Golf. There are several golf courses in the area, including the oldest course in North America (Niagara-on-the-Lake Golf Course).
Outlet Mall. The Outlet Collection At Niagara is an open-air shopping mall with over 100 stores located across the street from White Oaks Resort.
Niagara-on-the-Lake. Visit the town of Niagara-on-the-Lake, often called the prettiest little town in Canada. Stroll down the main street and enjoy the numerous shops and restaurants along the way. Take a horse and carriage ride. Relax in the park by the Niagara River and Lake Ontario. Check niagaraonthelake.com
Niagara Falls. One of the wonders of the world is just a short drive away, and always worth a visit.
Wineries. There are close to 100 wineries in the Niagara Region, and while we will be visiting two of them during the Gala (Niagara College and Ravine), there are many more to explore. Take a drive to the Niagara Escarpment, and enjoy the scenery as well as the numerous wineries, breweries, and distillers in the area. Please note that tastings will need to be booked in advance at most wineries.
